This painting was inspired by one of my friends, Emma Sofia. She is a singular talent, a cosmic gift to the world, a rose in constant bloom, a showgirl through and through. When I met her, we were performing together and I was attracted to her instantaneously. EMMA SOFIA packs that burst of energy I get when I’m around her. She is depicted here having a moment alone, without having to perform for anyone, on or off-stage.
