Acrylic on Canvas
16” X 20”
An homage to the original Cubanita I painted for my mother, ROLOS was an exercise in restraint. I limited myself to 4 colors all within the same palette: black, white, gold and brown. She’s classic, she’s timeless, and she’s thinking; Thinking about how she’s going to tell you your man is a POS. Something about her tight crown of ROLOS gives her the power to say exactly what she thinks and whether you listen or not, is up to you.
